NOMINATIONS

Contest 2011

136 films from 42 countries entered the contest.

On 25th February the jury met in the "Villa Kult" in Berlin.

Now 24 films were nominated for the Delphic Art Movie Award 2011. Please scroll down!

The nominations should express the most important aspects of the competition, in particular:
- the internationality of the competition and the diversity of cultures,
- the reference to contemporary art and the preservation of cultural heritage,
- the variety of the creative process in the context of the six Delphic art categories and their many disciplines, as well as socio-cultural references.

To sufficiently take into account those aspects careful considerations were made when choosing the nominees. Thus the quality of the film regarding the filmmaking couldn't be the only criterion for the nomination. For this reason and the limitation to 24 films not all films which would have deserved a nomination due to their quality could be nominated. At this point the International Delphic Council would like thank very much all participants and appeal to all of them to take part in the competition for the Delphic Art Movie Award 2012 with the same enthusiasm again next year.

The prize winners 2011 which were chosen by the jury were announced during the event of the International Delphic Council at the "Palais am Funkturm" in Berlin on 13th March 2011.
