The Delphic Games Symbol of the Modern Era consists of an infinite ribbon of six colored interlaced semicircles which are designed within a circle on a white background. They symbolize the unity between the six Delphic Art Categories - (1) Acoustic Arts, (2) Performing Arts, (3) Lingual Arts, (4) Visual Arts, (5) Social Arts and (6) Ecological Arts.
The Delphic Poet is reminiscence on the written pass down from of the ancient Delphic Games by the Greek poet Pindar. The respective bidding committee appoints a well-known writer or journalist of the host country. The Delphic Poet communicates and reflects the idea and values of the Delphic Games. In addition, the poet is acting as a chronicler.
The Kastalic Spring Ceremony. Approximately six months prior to the Delphic Games / Junior Delphic Games a delegation of the host country travels to Delphi, Greece to fetch water from the holy Kastalic Spring to deliver this water to the place the next Games will be held. The water of Delphi should be integrated in the Opening Ceremony.
The Delphic World Culture Forum (DWCF). Three days before the Opening Ceremony at the hosting destination a Delphic World Culture Forum will be held. The DWCF is a gathering of the leaders and responsible personalities of the world in the field of culture, cultural education, tourism, media, politics and business to explore common interests and to establish sustainable contacts among each other. The visiting of the Opening Ceremony of the Delphic Games is the official closing of the DWCF.
The Opening Ceremony should give a bright picture of the arts and cultures of the host country and reflect its traditions, values, and creativity.
The Games with include competitions, presentations, exhibitions and film documentaries
The Framing-Program contains of artist forums, Talk rounds and discussions as well as Gala-Shows. Artistic presentations and contributions are not part of judging and evaluation.
The Agora is the Artists' Meeting Point as well as the information centre and press centre.
The Closing Ceremony should reflect a combination of the artistic skills of the host nation combined with the most exceptional artistic contributions during the Games.
The realisation of the Delphic Games takes place according the guidelines of the International Delphic Council (IDC), founded 1994 in Berlin. Possible hosts of the worldwide Delphic Games can be Cities/Regions bidding in connection with the respective National Delphic Council. The respective destination of the Delphic Games is the result of a bidding procedure according guidelines announced by the IDC. The program and realisation guidelines of Delphic Games will be continuously developed in a permanent constructive process in close relationship with the IDC for the respective host destination.
The participants of the Delphic Games are nominated according results of national heats or appointed by reasonable measures according nomination procedures if the IDC Statutes. Participants in Delphic Games are professional, highly educated artists/working artists and cultural activists. Participants of Junior Delphic Games are juniors in an age between 14 years and young adults, in an artistic education process/studies and autodidacts up to 28 years who are not professional part of an artistic activity.
The Arts Commission together with the host defines the program of the respective Games and decides upon the performed Disciplines. All six Categories are part of the "Games Identity". The Arts Commission gives recommendations about the participation criteria's of the artists and advises in the appointments of the Jury's.
The Jury's are designed by representatives of national and international Art Federations, Competitions and Artist Agencies. Also experts of Art Academies, Universities and Colleges as well as artists of international reputation of the respective art disciplines will be appointed. For some art disciplines an evaluation can be considered by public voting involving media experts - depending on technical possibilities of the host country.
The Games Commission decides after evaluation upon the bids about the next host of the Games. Together with the Organising Committee (OrgCom) the Games Commission decides about the realisation and the time-line of the Games. The Games Commission controls together with the OrgCom the time schedule in the prophase of the Games, as well as the time break up and financial planning of the Games.
